Interesting to read the write up about SRAM 12-speed groupset. Especially with the race team opting to use a 50/37 chaniset with a 10-26 12-speed cassette. This supplies a smaller and bigger gear at either end of the scale with 50 x 10 bigger compared to 53 x 11 and 37 x 26 is smaller compared to 39 x 25. Plus it’s lighter. What not to like except the price.
I’m progressing well with my level 3 British Cycling Track course and I’ve had the pleasure of coaching Will over the last few weeks. It’s been really good experience, and with Will’s diligence to training, racing and completing my forms an enjoyable time.

I visited the velodrome last weekend to watch the Revolution meeting. Fabulous facility. And whilst still there I had a peek at the ultra smooth road circuit which is floodlit. I’ve no doubt with this facilities in place, we will develop more future champions, bring it on.

Great result for coached ride Phil last night in the Welwyn Wheelers 10 mile time trial on a test course not a fast course by any means. Phil raced round in 23min 45 seconds beating 24mins for the first time. Brilliant Phil, well deserved for the hard work you have put in.
