Brompton Bicycles

I’ve owned on of these now for over 4 years, single speed version with the sporty handlebars. In my opinion they are the only creditable folding bike on the market and British made.

Recently, I’ve read a book about this fabulous bike and amazed on the amount of development that goes into them. The latest Mark IV version is a super machine.

On a recent visit up town, the numbers of Brompton’s on the streets and travelling on Tube trains is astonishing. Checking Brompton’s very readable website the journeys taken by riders throughout the world is remarkable.

Fitted with front and rear bags and a thoughtfully designed 6 speed gearing system most terrain can be ridden. In fact I’d wished I had specified this gearing system now compared to the single speed currently fitted. But thankfully I can upgrade thanks to the noteworthy design. If cycling in the city and regularly commuting this certainly is the bike of choice.
