London Velodrome
I was lucky enough this week to ride the boards at this awesome venue. It was part of a coaching evening for recruiting new coaches as this auspicious arena. Part of the evening was to coach riders and be coached yourself to see if your style and presentation skills were suitable and that you fitted into the type of person that they were looking for. I certainly hoped I gave a good account of myself and hope I’m given the opportunity to coach at this venue. The track bikes available for hire were aluminium Condor models basic but functional and they rode well. Up and down the banking we went (well some of us) although the banking is daunting and a long way up. Also it was a bit spooky with only a handful of us inside this vast arena. Nevertheless we spent 2 hours inside enjoying ourselves.
